ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

My professional journey began in healthcare, where I dedicated 25 years as a Therapy Radiographer. Most of my career was spent in the NHS, with a period working overseas in Radiotherapy early on. Sixteen of those years, was at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge working in Radiotherapy and Oncology, with the last decade (2010–2020) as a Breast Cancer Advanced Practice Radiographer.

Throughout my career, I have had the  privilege to offer support to countless individuals living with and beyond cancer. Helping people through such challenging times was both inspiring and rewarding, and I am deeply grateful for the meaningful connections I made along the way.

In 2020, after many years of commuting and balancing family life, my family and I made a conscious decision to re-evaluate our own well-being and quality of life. This led me to transition into a new chapter of my professional life. Today, I am a qualified Personal Trainer and Senior Activity and Health Practitioner, supporting individuals taking care of their own health and well-being.

Whether you’re just starting out on your fitness and well-being journey, you are an experienced exerciser, or you’re recovering from and moving forward with a health condition, incorporating more physical activity into your life can have a truly positive impact. It can enhance not just your physical wellness but also your psychological and emotional well-being.

My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and the ability to assess and sensitively respond to individual needs. I aim to help you build confidence in your ability to exercise safely and effectively, taking into account your personal situation, health conditions, and goals. Together, we can ensure you exercise with good form, feel more assured about how to exercise safely, and develop the confidence to incorporate activity into your life independently.

For some, this may mean creating a structured exercise program tailored to your goals, while for others, it might involve finding small, manageable, and sustainable ways to include more movement in your daily routine. We are all different, and my aim is to provide an individualised and holistic approach that promotes independence and enhances your fitness and well-being in a way that works best for you.

I would love the opportunity to discuss how I might support you on your journey. Please feel free to get in touch to explore how we could work together to help you feel better, stronger, and more confident in your health and well-being.
